Future’s (CEIAG)
We take great pride in our excellent destination figures, where year on year we are significantly better than the national average.
In Year 11 you are expected to attend assemblies and lunchtime drop in sessions to gather as much information as possible about post 16 education in the area. This will enable you to make informed choices for your future. Sessions are also arranged in personal statement writing and the apprenticeship application process.
Application forms are completed by Christmas and you will attend all the interviews arranged over the next few months. Then in August when you get your results you will make your choice.
In Year 10 you will have the opportunity to spend a day at a local college and experience “Life beyond St. Bede’s”. You will also take part in a week of business and enterprise activities to prepare you for the next step
In Year 9 you will attend the annual careers fair to “open your eyes” to the myriad possibilities for your future choices. You will also have the opportunity to begin the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award.
