DSCF4315.JPGDSCF4280.JPGDSCF4375.JPGDSCF4313.JPGOn Wednesday 9th November the Pearl of Africa Children's choir spent the day with us in school.  The choir is spending two months in the UK on a fundraising tour for their children's homes, schools and clinics in Uganda.

During the day the Pearl of Africa performed to all pupils and led workshops in drumming, dance and singing.  They also led Q & A sessions about their life in Uganda.

Other highlights of the day were an impromptu football match with Year 7 at lunchtime, and BBC Radio Lancashire broadcasting live from the event.

It was an amazing day; pupils and staff alike were 'blown away' by the choir.  The day culminated in a performance with St Bede's pupils dancing and singing on stage with the choir.

Money was raised for the choir by bucket collections, a craft stall and non-uniform day.  Watch this space for the total amount.
