Ceramics Installation with West Lancashire College
A select group of Year 7 pupils has been working towards a collaborative ceramics installation with Aimee Smith from West Lancs College.
The theme of the workshop was 'From Mighty Oaks Grow Small Acorns’
The work will be displayed around a large Oak tree which can be viewed from the art department at the college. We are hoping to take the pupils to see their work on display this summer...
Over two lessons the pupils made thumb pots to form the acorn shape and then added personalised detail to represent their individuality by using sgraffito and coloured slip decoration.
Some photos of the workshops.
