St Bede's Catholic High School is an outward looking learning community which gains great strength from the collaborative networks to which it belongs. The school was at the heart of the development of the West Lancashire Schools Partnership which provides an extensive system of support and development opportunities across West Lancashire's secondary schools. Regular meetings at headteacher, senior leader and curriculum leader level ensure that colleagues are able to both support each other in school improvement work and provide high quality continuing professional development opportunities.

In addition, St Bede's works closely with other Archdiocesan schools within an extensive network which provides school to school support and which drives educational improvements across the Liverpool Archdiocese. As part of the work carried out with other Archdiocesan schools, St Bede's is part of an exciting collaboration which has evolved a Catholic School Direct programme to attract the best talent into the teaching profession. The Wigan and West Lancashire CSD programme can boast a growing reputation for producing high quality teaching professionals.
