Collective Worship

Prayer is the primary way in which we grow in relationship with God. Staff and pupils at St Bede’s pray together often. This happens daily in form time, and also in weekly assemblies, half termly year group Masses, in our Easter and Christmas services. Twice a year the whole school celebrates Mass together in the school hall.

These routines of Collective Worship also aim to promote an attitude of love, care, respect, tolerance and acceptance based on the values of the Gospels. Pupils plan and participate in collective worship as much as possible. Our chaplain works with staff and students to plan prayer and collective worship which is appropriate and relevant.
